New Delhi: Having clearly crossed the line by looking at the dressing room for hints after being trapped on the pads by Umesh Yadav in the second innings on Tuesday, Australia skipper Steven Smith has apologised for his behaviour.

Smith said that it was wrong on his part to look at the dressing room and he regretted doing the same.

“It was a bit of a brain fade and I shouldn’t have done that,” Smith said.

In fact, Smith went on to say that he was not at all upset about the heated exchange that followed between him and the Indian players, especially India skipper Virat Kohli.

“As far as I’m concerned the game was played in good spirits and nobody crossed the line,” he said.
