Poonch, May 04: At least four people died and 10 others were injured today when a mini bus, they were travelling in, plunged into a gorge in THE mountainous Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Four passengers died and 10 were injured when a mini bus, on way from Bani to Bhaderwah, hit an ice block as the driver lost control over the vehicle and rolled down into 800-feet deep gorge near Dandi Nalla,” police spokesman here said. He said that police teams have been rushed to the spot and rescue operation WAS in progress. “Death toll may rise and details are awaited,” he said.
Reports have revealed that a minibus, with most of passengers in it were government employees, met with accident in Dingla village of Poonch and plunged on roadside.
In the accident more than three dozen people sustained injuries and were removed from the spot out of which one later succumbed to his injuries.
Condition of at least five passenger is reportedly serious and administration is trying to shift them to Jammu GMC&H.
Most of the victims of this accident are government employees.
