Soldier, porter martyred in unprovoked CFV by Pak

POONCH, Oct 12: Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked firing on Indian Army posts in Krishna Ghati sector at around 1035 hours today. Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively.

However, during the exchange of fire, Sepoy TK Reddy and Defence Porter Mohd Zahier were grievously injured and succumbed to their injuries. Six other personnel including one defence porter also sustained injuries and are under medical treatment.

Sepoy TK Reddy aged 21 years, belonged to Village Obulapuram, Tehsil Giddaluru, District Prakasam , Andhra Pradesh and is survived by his mother Smt Gurrumma. Mohd Zahier aged 22 belonged to Village Kalali, Tehsil Manjakote, District Rajouri, J&K .

Sepoy TK Reddy was a brave and sincere soldier and Mohammed Zahir was a honest and dedicated worker. The nation will always remain indebted to them for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty.
